Bleeding heart - Dicentra alba

A close up, but not too close of my favourite plant, the Bleeding Heart. This was taken yesterday. I went with a friend to Harlow Carr (RHS gardens in Harrogate) and was disappointed with the floral content ...we seemed to be mid way between blooms. So we ended up back in Sheffield at my old favourite haunt...the Botanical Gardens.

The photograph was taken from the ground handheld at ISO400. I've kept it small in the frame because I sometimes like to give flowers plenty of breathing space...and I think these deserve it. It's placed on the upper right third for a balanced composition.

And with the Map feature I've highlighted the exact spot it was taken...great feature :-)
